Mercy College of Health Sciences ABSN 2020

Hey Everyone.

I wanted to start this for anyone who is applying or did MCHS ABSN program before.

I got accepted into the Sp 20 program but deferred it to Su 20 because it was too late of a notice. Is anyone coming out of state? Also has anyone applied for their scholarships? If anyone has done the program already please drop some tips/comments below! Thanks

Good morning everyone, I have also applied to Mercy College, Bronx Campus for Summer 2020! Can you please tell me who you contacted at the college regarding applications??? I am so nervous about this whole process. I have also applied to Stony Brook and Mount Sinai, I got an interview and didn't get into Stony Brook which was very competitive. Well keeping my fingers cross-finger hoping for the best.

Hi! Did you hear back? I received my official letter so I think they're starting to send them out.

Their 2019-2020 tuition/fees are on their website which covers through summer session. 2020-2021 tuition fees won't be released/posted until ~March I was told.

Is there anyone in the ABSN program currently? First off congratulations on the acceptance into nursing program this year! I am also interested in applying for this fall term. I wanted to get your opinion on how the program is so far and if you recommend it. Also is the program difficult?

Hi!

I called the school and asked if there was a way to get in contact with a current student in the program. They forwarded me to a department who took my name & email address and shared it with a current student they knew and thought would be willing. She did contact me and it was great to talk with her. I suggest you do the same!

Also, all ABSN programs are hard.. nursing is in general. The current student I had spoken with did say that it was reasonable for sure, and that she liked her teachers. I also met with a current instructor when I flew out to visit and she was lovely. Very caring and took the time to meet in person and answer my questions. It is new, but everyone I interacted with were fantastic. I ultimately decided to go to another program solely because they did Fall, Spring, Fall, so you got the Summer to complete a student nurse externship which I really wanted to do (and they are cheaper). Otherwise, I would have definitely gone to Mercy!

Has anyone been accepted to Mercy College Of Health Sciences ABSN program for fall 2020 cohort?! I’ll be moving to Iowa from PA and looking for other students who are definitely entering the program! I also am hoping for feedback about the program from anyone who has finished the program recently!
