Nurses Month 2024 | Discounts & Freebies AORN Celebrates Nurses Month

Hi I'm creating a group for all the people who got accepted to Mercy ABSN fall 2019 in ny . It's a new program which also help out transfer CNR student finish there degree and I hope we could shared our thoughts for other incoming students. I was called around July 9th and told I was accepted and waiting for my officially letter package in the mail. I'm excited and nervous at the same time.

Also, anybody know the difference between “scrubs” and the “uniforms”? According to the pictures in the packet, the uniforms are scrubs..so I’m like ??‍♀️

From what I understood the scrubs are worn to lab and the uniforms are worn to school , and the scrubs are bought on your own as long as theyre navy , please correct me if im wrong ??‍♀️

So did you guys just purchase one uniform? And will wait till orientation for scrubs?

i purchased 1 top n bottom uniform i have to return my top is alittle snugged i think imma buy the unisex version

I'm going to wait for orientation to see if i need to purchase anything else. So far i spend alot of money on certification, uniform, shoes, transcripts and doctors visit. And we dont know how much the books will cost.

Any recommendations on good shoes ?

I was told by a nurse to get leather shoes. Mine kinda look like crocs without the holes. I got them from amazon and a lot of nurses gave good reviews.
