Has anyone attended the Mercer County Career Center's LPN program? If so - how did they find it? Thanks!

I'm taking the program right now! I'm not real sure what you want to know.

I'm in the part time program that meets 2-3 days a week (it alternates each week). I LOVE my teacher. She is an exceptional nurse.

Why not call the school and talk to the director? The number is 724-662-3000 (ask for practical nursing).

If I can answer any questions for you, please don't hesitate to ask!

Take Care,

Marci

Thank you for answering me! I actually did just "sign up" and wil be starting the FT program in July! I am excited and nervous - it is a career change for me. I guess I was just wondering what other students' impressions of the program might be.

When did you start? When do you graduate? Are you working as well as going to school?

Thanks!

I just started in January. I won't graduate until November 2009. Like I said, I'm in the part time class. Feel free to come and "seek me out" when you get there in July.

I'm a career changer as well. I actually use to be a teacher. I've worked in early childhood and special education. I don't work now. However, I have four children and they wear me out!

I don't really know much about the full time program. However, I really enjoy the part time class. It's at a pace I can handle and I really enjoy the info I'm learning.

Let me know if I can be of any help to you.

I realize this is an older post, and you are already in school by now. I attended there as an Advance Placement student. I transferreder from RN program. I had failed a med-surg class and had to wait a yr. to get back in. MY original plan was to get LPN and back to RN. However, I never made it back to RN. I only went to school for 12 weeks. To get the most out of your clinicals I would recommend to to do the morning rotations.(I think it is the last quarter where they split up the clinicals) I worked the aft. rotations and did not get to do much. However, I graduted in 1996 and there have been many changes since then. My niece is in your July class.

I graduated with a AAS in Nursing in 1978 and took the health science classes that had a 4 hour lab and a 4 hour lecture every week for two semesters

It was suppose to be A&P,Biochemistry, Organic Chem and Micro with just the info the RN needed to know, It was great at the time and some colleges except as

A&P and Chemistry when it transfer. Some online colleges except for 12 credits we got in science. Is any one out there with this History at MCCC?
