Merced College Fall 2022/Spring 2023 ADN

Updated:   Published

Starting a thread for any ADN applicants. This will be my first year applying to nursing programs. Already have a Bachelor's in Health Administration but GPA is only 3.35. Looking for others starting the process :).

Anyone chosen in Spring, can you tell me when the orientation will be?

I am I’m Spring. They are sending us emails in September for it.

Thank you so much! I don't have any medical experience and I had 86 points with Merced. I had a 3.6 GPA and received a 83% on the TEAS.

Hey, did they send you a formal acceptance letter? Also, who contacted you regarding your acceptance? (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) or the director?

Does anyone know if we buy the books beforehand or if we wait till the first day? I remember at orientation they said to bring a credit card the first day and the book bundle would be $1200 but I'm assuming that's for ebooks. Is it possible to buy hard cover books? Only because it's cheaper to buy them used and it would be less than $1200.

did you ever call the school and ask about the books?

I emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME), she said we’ll have the option to get hard copies when we place order.

Did you get in the RN program I am actually working at samc now as a CNA

Hi, would you happen to know what the starting pay is for new grad nurses at SAMC? Any info would be appreciated.

Hello! Has anybody that's been accepted for Fall 2022 received the voucher that is required to register for classes? I have not gotten it yet, and considering school starts in a few weeks, I would think we'd receive it by now. I'm anxious to read the syllabi and start preparing for class.

@SeeksTruth you mentioned that you were next in line from alternate list. Have you heard anything yet from the school?

Nothing. I’m just taking classes and preparing to retake my TEAS like everyone else. I have everything completed in the event they call me. I just had physical, titers, and BLS done.

For those accepted for fall, are you bringing a credit card to pay the $1200 on the first day of class on Wednesday?
