I havent heard anything and I have hospital experience. Experience guarantees nothing.

Im also an experienced RN (almost two years in OB PACU inpatient, however I have no OR experience so i applied to this program which said it welcomes people changing specialties also). I applied a day after the job was posted and have heard nothing. In fact i get less interviews now than when I was a new grad...which was so not what I expected after gaining hospital experience.

So, I checked MSKCC's site... the position isn't posted anymore. But when I login, it still lists my job application status as "Open." Maybe they are just now going through applications? I'm sure they are hiring a lot of people for it. Maybe they wanted to cap off the applicants at a certain number and then start interviews? Atleast, that's what I'm telling myself. I've got 5 years experience (Med/Surg & OB) and I am SO ready for something like this!

I also applied. I stopped by HR today and the response was to the effect that it could take awhile before they get back to the applicants.

Haven't heard anything. I was thinking that they probably have had a lot of internal applicants & obviously they would get the position over nurses like us. That's good and bad. Bad for obvious reasons but good because then those positions will open!
