Hi all! Starting this thread for all of us new grads who are applying to any of the Memorial Hermann hospitals for the Summer 2017 GN Residency programs!

Let's keep each other updated on emails/match days/how interviews went, etc!! :laugh:

What location and what specialty have you applied for?!

Well, among my classmates, they seem to be sent out by a few different people in HR (with different due dates for the information). So, I think that it just depends and that they may be doing things differently!

I haven't received anything from Children's either. I'm definitely starting to get very nervous now that they're starting to send things out.

Has anyone heard from Memorial City? They were my second choice. I read on an old thread that they hardly invite anyone to match day. Wish I would have known that before :(

Hey guys! I applied at sugarland and southeast has anyone heard from either locations? I am getting so anxious as time passes with no responses. And how do you check the application status?

I'm assuming you haven't heard anything from them either? Like I said, I got that information from the 2016 GN residency thread. I'm not entirely sure how accurate that is. You can't always believe everything you read! Which is why I was trying to find out if anyone who put Memorial City has heard anything at all.

Also, I spoke to the Interim Clinical Director of Hospital Education for TMC this morning. In our conversation she basically said your second choice means nothing. This was a complete shock to me. Maybe it's just because i'm not as familiar with the program as others, but I thought they would actually take your second choice into consideration? Apparently not haha.

For those of you who have or are currently filling out the questionnaire, are you using nursing experiences to answer these questions? Or just any experience? I'm not sure what they are looking for. Don't know if it would be a bad idea to use an example from when I was a sales associate
