Hi all! Starting this thread for all of us new grads who are applying to any of the Memorial Hermann hospitals for the Summer 2017 GN Residency programs!

Let's keep each other updated on emails/match days/how interviews went, etc!! :laugh:

What location and what specialty have you applied for?!

My #1 choice: MH The Woodlands - ER

Congratulations!!!! Was Children's your first choice? Did they call or email? Which department if you don't mind me asking. Sorry for all the questions just starting to get nervous....

Yes children's was my first choice! And then I received an email about the behavioral assessment first and then I received an email from the recruiter about more questions that she needed it was like a mini questionnaire and then a few minutes later she sent the email for the details about match day. I'm not sure what department but in the email she told me to state what department I wanted and I told her the pediatrics med-surg. Hopefully you will hear from her soon!

Thank you so much for getting back to me! Not going to lie I am getting a little nervous. My application status says applied for Childrens and for Memorial City it says application under review. So I am not sure if that means for Childrens I am not being considered. Congratulations again and good luck on Match Day!!

Thank you!! Yeah mines still says applied for children's. a friend of mine also applied for the memorial city and it says under review as well for them, I can ask them if he has heard anything from them and get back to you about it. But you got this!! I hope you hear from them soon. Also another one of my classmates applied last year and she didn't hear from them, so she called the recruiter and got an invitation for match day, so if you don't hear anything before the 28th I would give them a call. Good luck to you!!

Hey Guys!

I applied to the program and I'm from out of state so it's hard to stay in the loop. I put MH Texas Medical Center as my first choice and MH Memorial City as my second choice. I put ICU as my preference for both. Has anyone heard from either of these places about Match day? Or just anything at all? Also, my app for TMC says "applied" and for Memorial City is says "application under review". Not sure if that means anything significant though.

Do you mind summarizing what exactly the email about Match Day says? And was the invitation specific for TMC or what? I'm sorry I'm confused about how this works!

Also, for the people that have heard back from TMC, what unit did you put? Just curious if that make a difference on when you hear from them

I don't really think the statuses tell much. I applied to both TMC and Sugar Land. I received a behavioral assessment and questionnaire from TMC, but not Sugar Land yet. Both have their status listed as "applied".

Thanks for your reply! So did you get an official invite to the Match Day with the behavioral assessment and questionnaire email? Or was that a separate email?

Well, the email for the assessment and questionnaire said at the end that I will receive an invitation to match day once that information is received and processed :cat:

Got it! Thanks so much for answering all my questions!! I don't know if each facility contacts everyone they intend to invite in one day or if I still have a chance to hear from TMC. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping I still have a chance!
