Venting is just what they are doing. They are taking their frustration out on you. Unfortunately, families like this are extremely demanding and hard to please and their is very little you can do.

Sounds like you work at my hospital. Those carts are so bunglesome. Our staffing numbers have nothing to do with acuity levels just numbers, numbers, numbers. They are weeding out older nurses with higher pay for LPNs.
I have been nurse there for years. Nurses are leaving due to poor work conditions. patient to nurse ratio is high. alot of total care patients and few CNA's to help. Situation here is going from bad to worse.
