Hoping to get some advice and feedback from your experienced independent contractors out there. I am an RN who has been approached to do some contractual work, and I need to make a proposal!!!!!! A bit of bacground info about me. I am an experienced RN who has been working in the Pharmacy LTC industry for the past 10 years. I am also a former DON. I have 2 huge National pharmacy companies who are interested in bringing me on as an independent contractor(actually, that is what I prefer). so any advice would be most helpful regarding to rates. Also, should I Ask what they have in mind before I volunteer any info, or do I just submit a rate????? Thanks in advance for suggestions and advice!
Hello To Everyone!
Happy Tuesday! Hope you're having a great day today! I am excited about this website! I am a Registered Nurse from the beautiful state of Virginia! I have been a nurse for the past 14 years. My specialty has been in psych and rehab, however, I have also been a DON in the LTC setting, and for the past 10 years have been employed as an account exec. for a pharmacy company. But....company was just purchased, and there was a tremendous amount of downsizing!!!! There were "cuts" across the board and as of last tuesday, I am no longer with them. Long story, so I won't bore you with it, but I am fine with no longer being there. Anyway, I am now searching for a "new adventure in nursing" ,and have been entertaining the thought of Travel Nursing. If anyone out there can offer any advice, I would really welcom their thoughts. ALL OF THEM basically say the same thing when I have contacted them, so it's hard to know which ones are the best to work with. Also, if there are any psych of rehab nurses that are "travelers" please contact me!!!! The one good thing is that there are Plenty of opportunities in various settings for nurses. I also have done consulting on a contractual basis for nurses who had their own consulting businesses.
thank you for your time!!!! Looking forward to hearing from you soon!!!
