Ok so I took the NCLEX PN on sat 6/1/2013, and it was not "hard" at all...I didn't feel as if there was anything I did not know during the test. When I left out I didn't feel horrible like I failed, I actually felt like I had to be a complete noob to not have passed. I got the good pop up in the parking lot. Waiting on official results but to those of you that are freaking out..Keep calm put it in God's hands, if its meant to be he will guide you ; )

    Quote from helluva
I just moved from Colorado and as a CNA i was making 15.00 an hour for an agencies and 12.00 at nursing homes. I moved to Georgia and found the pay here really sucks. I took a medication aide course in colorado to compliment my cna, for 55.00 and just went online to see how much the classes cost in georgia and they have lost their minds. The course here is 494.00. Also i found that the skill base here for cna is nothing like in colorado, its lacking miserably. and they gave me such a hard time about obtaining reciprocity in the state of georgia. Home is starting to look better and better. Georgia needs to get it together healthcare is expensive and hard work and they need to pay their healthcare professionals as such.
Omg who are u telling I moved from Colorado springs to Columbus ga last summer and the pay in the south sucks period. Don't move here if u can help it if it's pay ur worried about

Thank u for answering tam! It seems like the way to go for lpns in the tri city area is home health then? I really wanted to start off at a hospital to gain experience as I'll be graduating next summer but 15/hr is very low for lpn pay... Do u know if atl is any better?

Hello ALL! I am currently in the LPN program at Columbus Tech. I ordered my uniforms like 2 days ago, I ordered small, hopefully they fit, Meridys said it would take 7/8 business days to process the order and about 2-3 days to ship. im looking forward to this year, even though class started last week i already have a lot of new great friends, we even have a study group. We have tons of work to do outside of class but i love every second of learning.
