    Hello all,

I am in an LPN program and I will graduate in '06. I originally thought about moving to Texas but due to my husband's good paying job in MD I think we better stay around the area. We currently live in Maryland. I am thinking about moving to the York, PA area for the big, new, and affordable single family homes. We have 4 kids 20m-11y old. I plan to work nights while the hubby works days in Baltimore, MD. I realize that I will earn more money in LTC so I am leaning toward that but not necessarily by desire. I plan on continuing my education for R.N. when all of my children are in school full time but that will be a while. I am wondering from all of you so supportive and knowledgeable folks what the pay is like for lpn in ltc and what the area is like for a large family. TIA for any advice and info.

Hello all. I am a mom of 4 and wife of the 5th :chuckle . I am currently in an LPN program and due to graduate in 6/06 :hatparty: . I have also completed all prerequisites for the ADN program but I have to wait to apply until my younger kids get in school full time . I am seriously considering moving my family to texas after I receive my LPN license but I really need some input from you all. I lived in Dallas from 8y-12y old and loved it . What part of Texas would be best to work as an LPN, raise an African American family, a tractor trailer drivin' husband, be a single family home owner and live comfortably? Education for my kids and nursing advancement is very important. Thank you all in advance for any input and advice.
