   Hi Allie58D, I went to NY for nursing school but waited til I got back to CA to do the fingerprints, and so glad I did. CA's BRN is picky about where they get the fingerprints from and they prefer live scan. I don't know if this applies to license ...

   I did some volunteer work a few years ago in a NICU, that was before nursing school. Aside from that, I'm on the same boat as the others, just a few days in the NICU during peds and materal health.
