stay focus ... ha hhahahahahah I am a dork with you gal!! I did not have a facebook either!! I got one of my young friends to help me set up my profile and I am gonna join when I get home tonight! :-) :-)
Hey--- I have a declaratory order that I got previously .. where I did the fingerprinting and such already so they are checking to see if I have to do the background check over again. I wish orientation were sooner..... June seems like a long time away LOL
Jamielyn--I'm almost 100% sure it's aha approved because i am currently certified through tri-county for work but only for heartsaver CPR/first aid. just looked at my card and it is aha. so i have to take the healthcare provider one now also--that class is $25 and at the loop, i will private message you the training coordinators' email addresses/names after i clear it with them if you want me to...someone go with me i hate going places by myself haha!!
CONGRATS to everyone!!!!! Those that haven't gotton letters yet---- it is still early --- so I am sure you all will get your letters any day now. I will be at the june 8 oriention and will have my screen name on my name tag along with my name. I hope you all will be there. My name is Katrina.
LADIES, I am so excited!!! I got home late last night after class and checked the mail and was SO HAPPY to see my acceptance letter for NH. (11.76- 1st choice) I would love to get to meeting all of you very soon. My name is Katrina so look for me. (Name tags with screen names is a hilarious idea!!!) I look forward to being study buddies, carpool buddies etc with any of you fine ladies. I live out in Lake Conroe also and I know there are several of you Conroe-nians out there. Which orientation are you all that got in attending???? I want to get in on the 8th...... CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE!! JOB WELL DONE
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Oh my goodness!! I hope my husband will be home soon to check the mail!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE let my letter be there today!!!
BTW--- I am a Conroe-nian also and put NH as my first choice cuz they ahve the LVN option in the summer after the first year and they accept so many people compared to the other schools. It is a darn shame to drive right past Montgomery down 45 to go out of the way to get to NH --- but it is what it is -----..... Maybe if we all get in we could do some sort of carpool together ... save on gas.... LOL
My nerves are so bad too!! It has taken alot of work for all of us to get to this point.... The waiting is SO EXCRUTIATING!!! My first pick was NH and my second was Montgomery... I did not get a letter from Montgomery so I hope that means I am in at NH..... (my rank score--- 11.76)... OH PLEASE OH PLEASE... I dont think I can take it much more!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so anxious ladies!!! I wish we had word today!!! :-) :-) :-) I keep calling my husband who every day gets home earlier than I do - to ask him - HAVE YOU CHECKED THE MAIL!!!!?????!!! Bless his heart he is jsut as anxious as me so he is so patient with me. I just can't wait any longer!!!!!! I have been wondering too----- I wonder why they dont post online or on a board at the nursing dept office the people that have been accepted as soon as it is available?????!!!??? Waiting on the postal system is so darn slow!!!
I enrolled in the summer hybrid class o m/w with her... I was curious how much meeting time there actually was on campus.... nice to know she has some inside info to share. :-) did any of you all have a problem enrolling in the class when you signed up... when I signed up via myLonestar it shows the class in my class schedule and says I am enrolled however there is o payment showing ... I know that when I was enrolling there was a permission number... do any of you know if there is something special I am supposed to do to make sure I am in the class ... I have been calling the campus and always get the darn message/voicemail.... I should probably go down there.... I also tried to sign up for the online class this summer at Kingwood with Nicki Loftin---- same thing --- I have it on my schedule but I go to pay and there is nothing showing due.... UGH!!! darn system
I saw you all talking about the Pharm class -prof Cinqueri- or whatever---- I am trying to take it this summer but i work full time during the day ... did any of you take the hybrid with her???? If so, how much in person time is actually required or is it just the orientation that you have to go to and every thing else is online?
Girl, i know what you mean... I had a 4.0 gpa then I took THAT class and it ruined it .... I earned a C... but by that time I was just so freakin thankful to be out of there ..... I did not take the "extra credit" practical cuz it wasnt like it was gonna earn me a B .... even if I made a 100 on the extra credit practical I still would have had a c...about halfway through the class I started a new study tactic... my prof has a paper packet with alot of pictures and stuff in there and it was overwhelming to look at all those pages and study with all that mess all over ... so I would make a "studysheet" in prep for each test... I would write small and put as much on about 3 pages as I could fit and I would do this about a week or two in advance and that is what I studied from ... it helped me alot because the first test or so I failed but then when I did this I got b's after that ... also the labs---- I made color flash cards out of the specific visual representations... if you follwo these steps you are bound to improve too.... it condenses the info into chunks your brain can manage and also because you are writing the info there is a higher liklihood you will remember because by then you have already heard it/seen it.... Hope this helps you to pass and not repeat
I took micro last fall. I made the mistake of taking it at the same time as AP2 while working a full time job.... PAINFUL is all I can say! I can relate..... I was so worn out after that. The sad thing is micro could really be fun and interesting if I had more time and energy to devote to it. Also the professor I had was REALLY obnoxious which took away some of the fun. I got through the class thankfully but it literally took all I had energy wise so I can relate to how you are feeling. Keep up the good work and it will be over soon. One of the things that helped me was to x off the days on my syllabus so I would think--- only 7 classes left, only 6 classes left....
UGH! Yesterday I went over to the clinic because I had to get my second varicella shot for the CNA class I am taking. I already had chickepox when I was itty bitty but that was more than 20 years ago ----who keeps their papers that long----- so it was either get stuck a couple more times OR get one of those titers. I heard they were expensive --- so I figured it would be easier to get the shots. I had all my other shots even the Hep A which is not listed as a requirement. Have any of you all taken the AHA CPR class yet? If so, let me know where you got it and what you think.....I figure I might get that out of the way while I am TRYING to PATIENTLY wait..... :-) :-) ONLY A FEW MORE WEEKS LEFT
Stayfocus---- My heart goes out to you regarding the death of your dad. I pray that God comforts you and your family during this time. I know that my family loves Jesus too. Especially my Granny who passed away when I was 16. There are still days that I miss her terribly. Take care of yourself and give yourself plenty of time to process all of your emotions.
Stayfocus--- any word on dad?
Now at the 16th just a 15 days away til April 1st... Lets all cross our fingers toes and eyes that we get notices at the EARLY part of April ................ :-) the waiting is EXCRUTIATING
