Just took the NAT today. I did okay on it but I'm not sure my total number of points from my pre-reqs yet. Should be turning in my application tomorrow. Do you know when in July we'll find out who got in (towards the beginning or by the end of the month)? Also, how many seats do they have for the Fall? Lastly, if I were to get accepted for the Fall days schedule, would I be able to switch to nights and weekends in the Spring when it's offered again? So many unanswered questions! LOL! Good luck to all of you!
So we're less than a month from the start of classes and I'm still waitlisted. Here's my theory: There are probably many people that have accepted a position in UCF's program AND accepted a position at another school. They are waiting until last minute to decide which school they'd like to attend. Therefore, a week or two before classes start, these students will make up their minds and might decide to NOT attend UCF, which will open up more spot for the waitlisters. What do you think? Also, what's the exact start date of classes?
- Anyone else get offered a spot off the waitlist?
- Anyone else still undecided on which school to attend?
Sorry I'm getting super anxious! I told my job that I might be leaving soon and they've already hired a possible replacement.
Did you accept?
I was incorrect with the credits. I only looked at the curriculum for the 1st two semesters! Sorry! I'm on the waiting list this year and I'll be applying to Remington as a back up plan. ($36K for their program!). So I feel ya on the financial aspect.
How long did UCF give you to accept once they offered you a seat off the waitlist? I was told they give you 24 hours to decide. Also, did they contact you by phone or email?
UCF charges about $683 per credit hour for out of state undergraduate students. It takes about 32 credits to complete the program = $21,856. Uniforms and books are another $2,000. As far as I know, UCF requires you to pay back any money they lend you. Now Florida Hospital's nursing program gives students loans they don't have to pay back for a guarantee to work for them for a few years. Congrats on your acceptance! Best of luck with your tough decision!!
Has anyone received a call from the waitlist? When I called 2 weeks ago, I was told I'm in the bottom half of the waitlist (15-30) but they didn't give me an actual number. The advisor then told me that a year or so ago they ended up with 20 people on the waitlist and ALL 20 were accepted. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Someone mentioned a second signing that's due April 1. I didn't receive any info on that... Lastly, is there anything we should be doing in preparation for the start of the program? I haven't received any further correspondence than my initial waitlist email.
I also faxed the letter in today, even though it was just for the waitlist. I was told by CON that last year they ended up with 20 people on the waiting list and all 20 got in. I hope this is not something they are just telling me to keep my hopes up!! Good luck to all who are interviewing at UNF at the end of this week.
I got waitlisted. I guess that means there's still hope. Whether or not you got accepted, can everyone post their scores? I got an 85.4 on the Teas, 3.45 overall GPA, pre-req 3.7, science 3.8.
My status still says "Nursing Pending." I doubt it would change upon acceptance into the program since there are still many other factors that play a role in whether or not you actually start the program. (ex. failed drug screen, failed background check, etc.) I attended UCF in 2002 and I believe your status changes once you meet with an advisor to enroll in classes, but the process might have changed in the last few years.
