I too feel like I have been wronged on this site. I am no longer allowed to post any PM. My PM were monitored because a student asked me what I was going to do about this information. The PM are not private at all. I wish you all good luck in your nursing career.

Hi, someone inboxed me. I tried to respond to you but your inbox is full. I did leave the persons name I spoke to today but we are not allowed to post names of school personnel here. The name was deleted. I am about to rant now. So I lost my 287.00 I was told that their are no refunds. I took the majority of my science classes online at Ivy Tech and I was told by local colleges that I would have to retake them. So I can not got to ISU and I can not use my credits for another program... It is sooo hard to get into a program out here in Cali. All these people going to school to be a nurse because of so called job stability is in for a rude awaking. First of all, nursing is not for everyone, a lot of new nurses are leaving the field during the first year. The Job market is not how it use to be. There a lot of new grads out of work. Finally, what about public safety and the nurse client relationship. I was hospitalized in 2010. You can tell the nurses who were in it for only the money... Their patient care skills sucked. Yes these schools are letting the top GPA, TEAS and other weeding out criteria for their top students to get in, but I bet you they will be letting in a bunch of bad nurses who could care less about the benefit and care of the client. Good luck to you all xx

I just got off of the phone. I was told that they are not accepting anymore California students. This is due to Sonoma State University not wanting to be in partnership with ISU nursing. They are sending out a letter with all applicants. Wow!

Lady scrubs I paid for the MHN exam I am no longer going to attend. I was told that the're no refunds. I asked if I could donate the fees to an in need student. I have not gotten any response. I hope everything works out for all of you.

So you found out. I had a friend tell me this also. That is why I decided to finish up my BA program and do the ELM out here in S. Cali. From what I was told by someone is that California is not to happy to have a school come in the state and take away money from their colleges. You best believe that these hospitals are bonded with the schools. I lost the testing fees to MHN exam. I asked if I could donate the test fees to a student in need but I got no reply. I hate that people are playing with peoples lives. I took most of my science classes online at Ivy tech. I am now going to have to repeat 3 of them.

I have a feeling that they are going to limit the amount of students they accept due to the clinical placement. Good luck to you all.

That is why I said that I am giving myself a 3 to 4 year window to get my BSN. You have to be optimistic when you are a nursing student. As long as I am moving towards my goal to become an RN I feel as though I am on track. Are you still going to continue with ISU nursing program? It must feel terrible to have to wait to complete a class. As I promised I will be Vlogging my experience from start to finish. Blessings

    Hi quike248,

I will be starting next year as well. I am also in S. California. As far as waiting for clinical placement this is my thought I would rather be in this program then have to compete with other students who have a 4.0 at local colleges. To be honest I am feeling very discouraged about being a Nurse in California.

It is ridiculous how hard it is to get into a nursing program. I can understand that they want to make sure you can hang, pass the NCLEX and make their school look good but how about Nurses like my self who have a family, and a 3.2 GPA.

I spoke to someone named Millie a year ago and she was very positive, but I have read other posts of someone in the program who says that they are not going to be able to finish on time.

I guess what I am thinking is this, I was told that the program will take 2 years to complete. I have come to the conclusion that it will maybe take longer then that due to the clinical issue. I now have a goal of completing the program in 3 to 4 years. I hope I can do it faster.

If I go to a local state college It will take anywhere between 4 or 5 years, or I could go to a private college and pay over a 100.000. For me ISU is my best bet.

    Blessings,
