There's still nothing on my PULSE about Financial Aid, but I think someone on here said that the Fin Aid Office would post after July 7th? I'll call tomorrow, and I'll post again if I find out anything different (besides, PULSE is still saying that I haven't done my Direct Loan Counseling... and I have).

Has anyone started buying textbooks yet? I wish we knew which ones we need right away and which ones we don't need until - let's say - a month from now. I plan on just using Amazon.com and Half.com to buy mine - in my experience, college bookstores tend to mark up a lot :/

    Five weeks until Orientation!

-The finaid office requested that I fax in a completion letter from Direct loans counseling and then they fixed it on pulse. If you go back into direct loans, just print the last page that says something about counsleing completed.

-I have ordered all my textbooks except for 3 that i couldn't find on amazon. I wish we knew if we could use an older edition for a few of these. That sure would cut the cost by hundreds!

Did anyone apply and interview for RWJ Scholarship? I interviewed last week. I think we're supposed to hear something this week. Any news?

    Welcome Attilamom!

Which campus will you be attending?

Has everyone registered for classes? I have. However, when I look at the "week at a glance summary" it looks as though I am only scheduled for one class. How does your schedule look?

I'll wait for confirmation and then I'll pick and choose which books I need.

I also plan on sticking with my provider (also BCBS). I'm doing the online waiver as soon as Pearce and Pearce lets me select Fall 2010 (right now, they're only doing Summer II waivers).

Pearce and Pearce opens on 6/15/2010 for Fall 2010 waivers accoring to a student helath rep I spoke with.

MCG has cashed my $100 confirmation check, and I received a letter confirming my deposit, but I'm still not in eGuide. Did this happen to anyone else?

This happened to me and I am still not in the eGuide. I called IT and they gave me my log in over the phone.

Spoke with the cashier's office today and they were unable to answer my question. Does anyone know what the webcampus fee is for? Are we required to pay this because it is costing us $500? Thanks a bunch!

    Look under Graduate special charges:

According to the dress code policy "Clinical preplanning attire appropriate business attire (i.e. dress or dress pants), covered by the white lab coat with the MCG patch and MCG ID badge."

I may be wrong, but since the coats must have the patch, I assumed MCG would provide them or they'd be available for purchase at the bookstore or through the department...

    JNP and Udawg -
I would call the admissions office if I were in your shoes.

Adriane - I purchased some white new balance sneakers with a little bit of gray around the logo. I am not sure if this will meet the requirement either. About the white coats, I assumed that MCG would be providing these...isn't that what most schools do?

    Mal,
My name isn't in the system yet. Also, I keep checking my bank account and my $100 deposit check has not been cashed yet. Have they cashed your check? I just hope my deposit and confirmation did not get lost in the mail somewhere. According to the letter, the 15 day period is up by this upcoming Tuesday. I better call OM.

Thanks GAmom. This makes more sense to me. I think I'll go with all navy.

Is this really our uniform pilocy for clinicals? GAmom, please comment.

"All white dress (or) white pants and top (or) white pants and a navy blue top (no scrub pants or tshirts)."

Has anyone purchased any supplies for clinicals e.g. scrubs, white shoes, steth, nursing guides? Any recommendations for a good RN guide for rotations? Thanks in advance.
