I took my pax rn Friday and got my results today, they rolled out a new test and we had to wait on scores. My testing report only shows the total score and rn percentile. How do I find my relative score? For instance there were 60 verbal questions. I got 45 right with an RN % of 87%. There is no relative performance score on my report.
How long did it take you to hear back? I interviewed for a cna/unit coordinator position at a rehab facility hospital yesterday. I feel like the interview went well, it lasted about 45 minutes, I had a peer interview after the one with the nurse manager and a tour of the floor I would work on. I sent a thank you email this morning. She stated I would hear something fairly quickly from the recruiter. What an acceptable amount of Time to wait to hear something either way? I plan to keep applying to other positions in the mean time.
I am working on the required pre-req to apply for the RN program this fall. I took a psychology course in 2005 and received a "c". I wanted to retake this class. My advisor tried to say it wouldn't affect my chances of being accepted into the program. Thoughts? Our pre-req list is already short so a C hurts my overall GPA.
I have gone thru 2 interviews so far with the hospital I am hoping and praying hires me. The last interview ended with being asked to come back and shadow.. Is this a normal thing for hospitals to do. I am trying not to get my hopes up but really want this job
I got a call back for a 2nd interview with a local hospital. I have no clue what to wear. I wore slacks and a black shirt with black boots for the first one but I dont want to wear the exact same thing again to the 2nd interview.. Is it ok to wear a nice calf length skirt with a nice shirt and flats or should i go buy another outfit with slacks? Im interviewing for a CNA position. Thanks!
I am planning to do the same thing. You are accepted based on your grades.. Walters State Community College click on health and nursing then it will tell you. about 400 apply per sememseter i was told by admissions but there are only 80 spots. they do sort of like a points system. the higher ur gpa the higher ur points then after that those with "c" averages are basically picked last.
I am not sure what to do. I just got my results via internet and it says i passed the written then i passed 4 out of 5 skills. on the 5th skill the test observer marked me for not doing things i DID! i am so confused. I showed her and did it and said it out loud. Now I have to retake the skills portion. I dont know if i can fight the results or if i should just forget it and retake it
A passing grade is 70 we can't get below that and there are 75 questions.
The state written exam is 75 questions and we must make a 70 to pass... how many can i miss and still pass. I take it Friday.
Thats what i figured. I have a meeting with the nursing advisor friday and am trying to think of questions to ask about the program. I have been accepted to pre-nursing and want to start pre req this summer.
What would you say the hardest thing about pre-nursing classes and nursing school are?
I have a interview on Friday for home health CNA for pediatrics... which is what I want to work with. My question is.. How different is it being a home health CNA vs working in a hospital as a CNA. Plus i have no idea what to wear!
Thanks In advance for reading this..
I am currently in my clinical portion of CNA training and planned on starting pre-req this summer for the nursing program and am at a crossroads as far as it goes with family. I have no children currently but plan to start very soon, my issue is how do you handle work and taking care of your family. My dilemma is that my husband travels alot and when he is in town works nights. I am scared of how this would work with both having possible crazy schedules. He wants me to be a sahm and i want to be a nurse. It isnt really an issue but figuring out how to take care of the future kids is. Im not sure what to do.
I am only taking one class and its super easy.. comp.1
Anyone else there and any tips?
