1. At what point do you stop trying to stop labor???

   We actually don't routinely stop labor after 34 weeks believe it or not. Some docs will try but only with iv fluids/terbutaline. I think it's pretty crazy but I guess because we have the NICU that can handle it.

3. Question re: OB tech's

   Table are set up around the time a patient hits 4cm's or so or if a multip is admitted for labor/srom. We do cover them with a sterile drape.

4. PostPartum C/S and Pitocin

   We have pre-mixed bags of 30 units in 500cc NSS that we run for 2-4 hours post-op, unless bleeding is unstable. But we give 'em so much Pitocin in labor, they need methergine/hemabate intraoperatively anyway on top of the Pitocin. LOL!

5. What IV pump do you like on L&D/PP?

   We use Alaris pumps where I work. We like them, for the most part.... one thing we can't stand is that they have no recall. If you turn the Pit off in a decel, you can't recall the settings when you restart it.
