  2. Bi-lingual nurses, more pay?

wow, it's my understanding that hospitals are wanting to recruit from Mexico, to help understaffed hospitals and because of the high amount of spanish speakers. It makes sense, but it's a shame.

  4. Hi Namaste_Melissa, Are you located in California? I don't see that school, Vanderbilt, on BON website, http://www.rn.ca.gov/schools/apprograms.shtml .. and it looks like they're located in Tennessee. Are you going to practice there?
  5. New RN program in So Cal!?!

LOL, I didn't give them my email address, I didn't even want to give them my phone number when I first went there to inquire! I've learned my lesson from some of these colleges I've checked out. They are very persistent sometimes. If I hadn't moved I...

Hi Arizona students, I just stumbled on this thread, while searching... I'm in CA and starting the new RN program with Everest mid-July. I guess the first class in AZ is a good 6 months ahead of ours. I was wondering how the classes are going there...
  10. New RN program in So Cal!?!

Hi AstrelOne: They should accept your science and other general prerequisites, even if they are older than 5 years as long as it's a C or better and from a jr college or an accredited college. They'll still need official transcripts, so don't just ta...
  11. New RN program in So Cal!?!

Thanks for that info, I hadn't thought about that! I just assume an AS degree from an accredited CA college would be transferable. But M.K did tell me at the time they didn't know whether these courses would be transferable to another institution, i...
  12. New RN program in So Cal!?!

  13. New RN program in So Cal!?!

a bit more... They do offer a LVN-RN bridge. LVNs will need at least 1 year acute care experience, a valid license, LVN transcripts with a cumulative gpa of 3.0, and pass the NLN ACE I-PN to RN exam. Also, the normal pre-reqs need to be completed an...

Hi everyone, Sorry for the late reply, I will check this board more often! So here's the beans: I went to Everest College in Ontario last week, the campus is nice and small, it looks like a normal office building, and less than 4 years old. It's a C...
