  1. Degree required?

Masters... a DNP does not get you anything additional...
  2. 60 day notice

What does you contract specify about vacation utilization? If they were to cancel your vacation based on you giving notice that would be seem to be a decision made by the employer in bad faith.
  3. need advice

If you want to practice as an NP in an ICU or in a hospital setting you definitely need to have an acute care specialty certification. However, if you want to practice outside of the hospital and in a rural setting then FNP is the route to go.

  9. HIPAA

Close call. Keeping tabs on patient information is pretty important. I'm glad you found it.
  10. Suicide screening for all is not needed

You're right, having too many SI/depression questionnaires is not necessarily a good thing sometimes. Unfortunately though this is done due to joint commission requirements, which are pretty strict.
  11. Hypothetical situation, thoughts?

The best course of action would be to follow the state's Good Samaritan act
  12. Will this affect my future career as an RN?

Employers won't see it as a big deal that you quit the CNA job, as long you left on good terms. Also, the quality of work is probably pretty important too. If you're a new grad special nursing residency programs are an amazing way to get your foot in...
