Our hospital does not ban Crocs, but my sister is a human resource manager of a hospital, and they ban the crocs with holes. I personally wear my Danskos and leave them in the locker room at the end of the day. Lawd, Lawd, I didn't even think about m...
  2. Press Gainey AARRGGHH

Then when you say stuff like that it makes the whole situation worse, becasue the family knows you don't mean it. I think the powers that script it should test run it first.
  3. Career vs family

P.S. I, by the way, am a lousy stay at home Mom, so no, I don't think it is wrong to seek career fulfillment. However, that being said, the kids do grow up fast. If you can stick with your more flexible job a few more years, it may be worth it.--H

  9. older "new nurses"

I think it depends on your work environment and how much you let roll off your back. I have a wonderful preceptor, but there are nurses on my unit that are on a power trip. I mostly ignore them. I do think that being older I one, don't get as much cr...
  10. My preceptor gets frustrated with me.

I am sorry you are having preceptor trouble. Stick to your guns. If you have doubts about the medications, contact the pharmacy. I am a new nurse in orentation myself. I do have an awesome preceptor, and I am still feeling a bit overwhelmed. Hang in ...
