   you have been a nurse too long when. You have done so many amputations that you know how to tell if the meat at the store is still fresh or not. you know which doctors and staff to request for your next surgery.

   A friend of mine was in a hurry to get to L&D, and delivered standing. she was trying her best to hold her pants up and not drop the baby while walking in.

   Urology is the easiest, and if you are not sure, a good place to get your feet wet. general is a good place to get most of the basics down. If you are adventurous try the evening shift where you have to do all of the specialties.
