Show that jerk you can do it!! If nursing is what you want to do, go for it no matter what anyone thinks. I'm not trying to be pessimistic but i've learned over the years that husbands (marriages) are not necessarily forever. YOU TAKE CARE OF YOU!!! ...

I'm sure you don't smell. I know if I would have smelled my mom or husband wouldn't have hesitated to tell me!! Are you in Indiana?....I could come over and give you a sniff test, ha ha!!!

Um...smell? I have never heard of this. I have been on accutane 2 times myself and have never had anyone tell me I had a smell. Now I'm wondering, did I smell? It's an embarrassing thought, maybe I did smell and no one told me, ugh.

Try to put yourself in his shoes. This does not excuse his behavior but everyone reacts to illness differently. I would try not to let it bother you AT ALL. Most patients who behave like this are just upset with the situation, not you. Whenever I h...
I quit nursing (LPN) 7 years ago to go to a factory (more money). I decided that I missed it and wanted to go back PRN also. I was just hired at a LTC facility. I start training on the floor tomorrow. I don't see why you couldn't do the same. Mayb...

I'm soo sorry you got fired. It must feel terrible. Something is just not adding up though. They love you one minute and then fire you and report you to the BON the next? Is it possible someone had a personal agenda for doing this? Good luck and ke...
The only one I know about is Excelsior. They accept LPN, respiratory therapists, and paramedics into the program. I don't know if your health science background would help or not. You could always call them and ask. Good luck!!

I'm taking the prerequisites for the LPN to BSN online program through Indiana State University. I started out enrolled in Excelsior's LPN to ASN program then switched to this one.

If you don't do it, will you always wonder if you should have? Opportunities don't usually come to us we have to go after them. If you want to be an OB RN then put your mind to it and I'm sure you'll succeed!! welcome back and best of luck to you!!!
Nursing is my side job for now. I make more at the factory I am at than I ever would as an LPN. I don't plan on staying in the factory forever (I'm in school now). Eventually I will make more as an RN, I hope, than at the factory!!! I just started...

I heard something like this from my own mother. I graduated from a practical nursing program being a mother of one, pregnant with the second and also married. There was a waiting list for the RN program so I went ahead and did the PN program in th...

I too am going back into nursing part-time after being away 7 years. I just ordered two books from Amazon.com that looked really helpful. They are "Rnotes: Nurse's Clinical Pocket guide" and "Mosby's Nursing Skills Quick Cards" I can't say how helpf...
I was just hired at a LTC facility after being away from nursing for 7 years. I don't know how hospitals would feel about you being away from it for so long, though. Maybe you could start back at a nursing home or doctor's office for awhile and the...
