I also graduated from an accelerated program and so I know that it is going to be very difficult to choose something based on what you get in your clinical experiences alone. If you are not feeling a strong draw to go one way or another once you get to the end of your schooling then I would really suggest giong med/surg. This was not my first option when I got done with school but looking back I am so glad that I was able to have that experience and see as much as I have. Being that you are going to be coming from an accelerated program the med/surg will definately help to cement in all that you have learned and help you to learn tons of new stuff really fast! But that is just my suggestion, and like the previous post said "I wish I could tell you 'do this' or 'do that' but realy, its all based on what you see during school that gets your interest."
I have spent some time doing temp work and one of the places that I really enjoyed going was to a doctor's office. There are definately positions there where you can just do triage over the phone and of course take messges and stuff like that but I found that it was quite enjoyable.
Ok, so I really just wanted some advice on what I am looking at in the future when going for a job. I am a very open and honest person and do not intend to play down this situation at all. I cannot go back and changed what happened and I do not intend to make this seem like less then what it is. So, if anyone out there can offer any words of advice on what I am potentially looking at that would be great.
You can sleep through the phone ringing, the TV on, and the dog barking all at the same time.
I just have a question for anyone who has had any disciplinary action taken against their license. I am currently coming to the end of a 6 month suspension for something that did not merit that kind of action but I am really interested in how hard it is going to be for me to get a job once I get my license back. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
