Thanks for the link, a very intersting study. I'm sure its only a matter of time before the amiodarone people make an easier version to administer.

I just renewed my ACLS certification and the AHA is recommending using vasopressin X 1 then waiting 10-20 minutes before trying epi. So if you use vasopressin you really seem to limit your options, but if research shows that it works better then I would definetly try it. As far as lido vs. amiodarone, maybe emt's don't like amiodarone as much because your supposed to dilute it, which takes time. Either way I would like to see any research that favors one over the other. Whatever produces the best outcomes works for me

I asked all this on the general discussion, but didn't get a lot of responses so here goes again: Is there anyone out there in the public health service or have been. I'm trying to get an idea of the pros and cons. Are you required to move a lot similar to the military? Are the pay and benefits good? Any realistic information would be helpful. Thanks

Our hospital has just closed the maternity ward and are talking about cutting many more maternal/child care programs. Our cuts are related to local tax cuts and bad management.

I currently work in Yakima WA and the agency nurses that come through our hospital make different amounts based on which agency. My unit is telemetry/ICU and nurses from star med make 27-28/hr while favorite nurses pays 45-48/hr. Most nurses get paid mileage/airfair and motel from what i've heard from various agency nurses.
