  10. What would you do first?

Having just finished taking a test on this, I'd say O2!! We're taught Oxygen first, then Fluids and everything else. Always check your ABC's! :)
  11. Northwest in Senatobia

I wish someone would have sat me down and taught me how to study for the tests! You HAVE to study by applying the information. You CAN'T just MEMORIZE! I also found that you can't just sit down and study the night before the test and plan to make ...
  12. Northwest in Senatobia

Also, if your uniforms or lab coats do not come with patches on them, be sure to get them right away! It has been a pain to try to get them.
  13. Northwest in Senatobia

Shoes are to be completely white. (I bought some Reeboks at Shoe Carnival for $30 - they're really comfortable!) The nursing kit that you buy in the bookstore comes with things you'll need for labs: a foley catheter kit, gloves, tape, a nasogastric...

I started in August. It's been a wild ride so far, but great at the same time. Good luck to you guys! Hopefully you'll get your letters soon!
  15. Medication Check Off!

First of all, CONGRATS!! Feels good, doesn't it? We did Meds check off last week. We had to show the different sites for each type of injection, the size needle to use and gauge, and explain how to give them. Then we had to actually administer on...
