  1. Medication Expiration Dates

I've always assumed that if the month is listed, the med is good through the end of the month. I read an article recently a study that was done on epi-pen efficacy after expiration and the general consensus is that it is stable up to 7 months after i...
  2. U of MN or St. Catherine's MSN program?

I think I submitted in April of 2018 and heard back by August, but I know a lot of the faculty are scrambling trying to arrange clinical placements for the current cohorts which is difficult due to the pandemic. On the bright side, I'm in the cohort ...
  3. U of MN or St. Catherine's MSN program?

@lhanka so sorry it took me a long time to get back to you! I never got the tag notification. Yes, it’s absolutely possible to work part time and go to school. I work between 15 and 23 hours a week as a CNA at a group home, and I also stay home wi...
  4. U of MN or St. Catherine's MSN program?

Hey you two! I’m in the cohort that started in February and we just entered our second semester. It’s a great program - they’re still working out some growing pains but by and large the experience has been very positive. Clinicals especially have bee...
  5. Hopeful Normandale Pre-Nursing Student! Please help!

I didn't apply to NDCC's nursing program, I applied and got into St Kate's MSNEL program which I start next month, but I know a few people who got in at NDCC and are finishing up their first semester. They all say it's busy but going well!

  7. U of MN or St. Catherine's MSN program?

It was odd, I first received an email from St Kate's IT team with my student ID and directions to log into Kateway. I was like, "ok... does this mean I got in?" Two days later I got the letter in the mail :)
  8. U of MN or St. Catherine's MSN program?

I submitted mid-April. Wanted to get my decision as early as possible so I could look at other options in case I didn't get in!

  11. I took Anatomy last semester and aced it with a 98%. I knew the material so, so well. Physiology is proving to be a different animal. We've had three lectures so far on the first four chapters of our textbook, which are supposed to be "review" for u...
  12. Entry Level Masters in Nursing: Stats

I'm also looking into a MSNEL program. There are three in the area I live, and all three require different prerequisites, have different program lengths, and place an emphasis on different things. One is pretty much all academic and volunteer experie...
  13. Has anyone every taken A&P2 and Microbiology at the same time?

I am currently in Physiology (at my school A&P are split) and Microbiology. I also have 2 kids, ages 5 and 2, so they're home all day with me and I work part time in the evenings. Study time is precious and fleeting. Managed a high A in Anatomy ...
  14. U of MN or St. Catherine's MSN program?

I'm doing some necromancy here as this thread popped up on my search. I'm finishing prerequisites at Normandale this semester and applying to St. Kate's for Spring 2019; also looking at the U of M. Would be happy to hear about any of your results!
  15. Hopeful Normandale Pre-Nursing Student! Please help!

Did you end up getting in? I'm taking prerequisites at Normandale and am taking Phys and MicroBio this semester.
