    The Veterans Affairs hospital accepts PR Nurses and they do not have to take the NCLEX. Apply at the VA. What part of Texas? I work at the Temple Texas VA and we have a lot of PR nurses. I'm pretty sure it's at the VA's everywhere. Hope this helps.

    The CLC isn't like that. A RN will be the Charge nurse, doing admissions, and answering the phones(calling the doctors). You will not have that many patients assigned to you.

    What do you consider CNA? Patient care is everybody's responsibility and it's a part of the nurse's duties. Sometimes you will not have an CNA.

  10. I currently work for the VA. I started out at the CLC. Only day shift gets rotated on other shifts and they will ask you which shift would you like, Evenings or Nights?
