  1. Hi ckatie97! Congrats on making it to your senior year! We are now seniors in the WCU program set to graduate this December. (Yay!) Upon applying for the program my GPA from my first degree wasn't too great actually (2.8), but my pre-req GPA was a so...
  2. I also emailed him about 2 weeks ago and he said they should be coming in a few weeks. Hopefully they'll be arriving shortly.
  3. Nice! Congrats in advance on graduating! No I wasn't able to take patho this spring either. I'm trying to find as much funding as I possibly can for the program. It's definitely scarce
  4. Thanks! I'm relieved, excited and nervous all in one! No I haven't received anything yet. We're supposed to get it this month apparently. Are you taking patho right now?
  5. Yay Congrats! I figured more people would start searching once the program start date got a little closer. Have you received the student agreement package yet?
  6. Financial survival and Accelerated BSN...thoughts?

Nice! I got accepted to the cheapest accelerated BSN program in my area which is around 21K. All of the others are almost double that price. It's a bit ridiculous honestly.
  7. Financial survival and Accelerated BSN...thoughts?

Yes I know! Yes this will be my second degree I currently hold a B.A. in Psychology. I have been applying for every scholarship that I can find. Funding is almost non-existent for us and I was hoping that I wouldn't have to use loans as my sole sourc...
  8. Financial survival and Accelerated BSN...thoughts?

That's what I'm hearing for the most part, although I'm not quite sure if I want to do peds. I'll just have to let the chips fall where they may. Thanks!
  9. Financial survival and Accelerated BSN...thoughts?

That's something to think about. Thanks for the advice, this sounds like a better route to take.
  10. Financial survival and Accelerated BSN...thoughts?

That's a great idea! I'll start looking things up. I thought staying where I am was a decent idea since I've already built a rapport with administration in my department and they are willing to be flexible with my schedule for the most part. However,...
  11. Financial survival and Accelerated BSN...thoughts?

OK I will look over the policy once more. However, I do recall that when I took my pre-reqs using a small amount of loans, my reimbursement was significantly decreased as the loans were considered a form of financial aid as opposed to out-of-pocket e...
  12. Financial survival and Accelerated BSN...thoughts?

Thanks for your encouragement!! I'm sure things will work out; financing school just always put's me a little on edge
  13. Financial survival and Accelerated BSN...thoughts?

Student loans are considered financial aid according to my employer and will count against me as far as reimbursement is concerned. Also, once the tuition reimbursement program is used, I have to continue to work there for another year as part of the...
  14. Financial survival and Accelerated BSN...thoughts?

They only offer tuition reimbursement, and you're only reimbursed if you pay out of pocket which sucks. I wouldn't even be working enough hours to be eligible for the tuition reimbursement, so you see where my dilemma is
  15. Financial survival and Accelerated BSN...thoughts?

OK, I'm working full time now to save money and pay off some bills. I have found a few scholarships that I can apply for as well. I can also get health insurance through my school as a student, so that shouldn't be an issue. Thanks again for your hel...
