About beachtomountainsRN

beachtomountainsRN has 1 years experience.

When I was 14 my oldest sister experienced a TBI secondary to an AVM in her brain. After a 2 day surgery she spent 3 weeks in a coma at the Bethesda, MD Naval Hospital, ICU. For days I watched the nurses take care of her and helped where I could. It was the scariest **** I had seen (both physically & emotionally) in my 14 years. The memories of my time with her in that place guided me through my formative years in college, the Peace Corps, and eventually in to nursing. I'm a born nurturer (thanks Mom ;-) and mover and shaker in my community. I love being a nurse and I want to go as far as I am physically, mentally, intellectually, and financially able to with this field.
