really, 300K is safe enough? Is that the amount you had when you applied, and were you approved then? Coz I'm starting to think we need the balance of the tuition + living expenses for the rest of the stay there prior/during the actual visa application.
How about the others? I'd appreciate it if you give ranges/approximates of the funds that you showed for you to be approved. Thanks all!
thanks kaye20 :) how about the documents needed? for those who proceeded with their application without the help of an agency, are there extra documents needed for the proof of funds, especially if the sponsor isn't one's parents? Thanks!
i submitted the following:
1. Affidavit of Support (since my sponsor is from USA)
2. Bank Statement (we submitted 2)
*my agent told me that bank statement should have atleast 700k balance
3. Pay slip
4. Valid ID of sponsor

according to my agency, you should have atleast P700,000 in your bank account. just to be sure. we submitted two bank statements with $11,000 plus and $9,000 plus each.
Hi guys, I'm a bit confused about the evidence of funds for the 456 visa application. HELP?!?!The website says they accept "bank statements, letter from financial institution concerning your financial position."
Is the latter the same as the bank certificate? If i get it right the bank statements detail daily transactions while the bank certificate states the actual amount you have.
If I'm going for a bridging program, how much do they usually require? Does the amount have to be liquid at the time of visa application, or are they more concerned about the financial history, like if there is regular cashflow in the account?
What if we're planning to settle the school tuition fee on an installment basis?
If someone else is sponsoring me, can I just show this person's bank account statements, or is there an additional document (e.g. affidavit?) that I need to prepare?
1. yes. bank certificates or bank statements are enough. just to prove that you have this certain amount.
2. they are more concern about the balance.
3. maybe you can pay your tuition in installment basis, it depends on the school i think. some school ask for a down payment, then the remaining will be paid few weeks before your classes starts.
4. i have given you a list of the docs i have submitted.
Thank you for updating all of us who are about to begin the whole process, in the middle or those who are thinking if we are on the right track.. haha! kindly keep us posted on how your job applications doing.. we will gladly appreciate it! thanks!hello! it's been a while since i last visited this site. this forum has helped me in so many ways, from preparing for skype interview to completing documents for visa application. i think i owe this site an update. January 2012 was when i was given an eligibility letter from AHPRA to undergo a bridging course. i searched for schools that offered the program within melbourne and then applied for 3. i ended up with IHNA. while waiting for my interview i was searching the net for possible questions and answers and stumbled upon this site. fast forward to present: i completed my clinical placement at a private hospital in Bundoora, last Aug 31. i just submitted my assessment files to IHNA yesterday, which will then be forwarded to AHPRA this week. hopefully i will get my registration by next week or the week after. during the last few days in clinicals, our educator kept reminding us that it's getting harder to get a job as a nurse in the acute setting. a lot overseas nurses start off in aged care which is not really my cuppa tea. but if it's the only option i have then what else can i do? also, some hospitals don't offer sponsorships to overseas nurses which is another problem. and overseas nurses are also competing against the local graduates. so good luck to everyone!

hello silverdragon, i tried adding you as a friend earlier. anyway i have a few very newbie questions. i am very new to this australian registration as i was a student in UK but my application as nurse there didn't turn out that well so i decided to try my luck in australia. i have trouble understanding the proof of identity in the application form regarding category A. do i really need to have an australian visa in order to complete this section of the application?
And one last question. if i enroll there as a nurse, in order to gain bachelor's degree than to compete with so many applicants in the bridging program, would my bachelor's degree here in philippines be credited? and how long do you think i will be studying the course to gain the degree?
thank you
