Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

MCIE will be closing soon? Do you know the reason why?

The next intake might be the last batch. Their registration is expiring this year. It will cost them alot to re-apply and they don't have enough enrollees. Wimmera Health Care Group partnered with MCIE so they can extend their registration for another year and to divide the cost for the extension. But the number of students per intake doesn't give them any returns. This was what I heard from our facilitator. It's a waste knowing it is a great and reliable institution.

Their tuition is very expensive that's why students are hesitant. And now they are closing.

ACFE - 14000

ACN - 10250

Deakin - 12506

ETEA - 12000

IHNA - 10900

La Trobe - 12500

Lonsdale - 13000

Monash - 12500 + GST

Sunraysia - 10750

Wimmera - 12500

These figures were true as of mid 2015. All of them are expensive. I'll pay a thousand more if it means that I'll have secure placement for 10weeks.

Thank Amaree.

So, what uni can give a secured placement after BP?

I believe there's none if what you understood by "placement" is work. I was referring to placement in a hospital during the bridging program. After BP and your registration you are on your own.

Thank you! I went to ACFE too. :) Truly, they met all of my expectations in gearing you up to be an Australian registered nurse. The clinical instructors were very approachable and they would really look after you when you're already in the clinicals. Our clinical placement was in a rehabilitation center catering to orthopedic cases that are preparing to be discarged. It's a step-down from a ward setting in highly specialized facilities.

Thank you for that inspiring information. May I also know if ACFE has available accomodation for their students nearby the school? In your case, where did you stay during the program? Is it possible to have your personal email, so I can post my questions personally to you. Thank you and God bless.

Anyone who is for ACFE intake on April? Glad to hear from you. Thanks.

Hi all, does anyone know if there is a bridging school in Canberra, ACT? Thanks! :)

You need to find your own accommodation coz ACFE doesn't offer any accommodation although they can help you out with the location and they can suggest which areas are near the school and the placement. Personally, I highly suggest that you get a place near the placement coz you will spend more time in the hospital than the school.

Me! :) hello! sorry, new here. just trying to see if I'll be able to come across RNs for ACFE April intake.

Thank you so much for patiently responding to my questions. I am just curious how would I look for a place near the clinical placement. In the first place, would ACFE tell me where the placement prior the intke period?
