I'm curious. Has anybody here been not deemed eligible for the bridging program because of lack of experience or any other reason? Because I want to make sure I have the requirements before I start my application than be rejected for lacking something. And if there was, is there a waiting period before you can apply again or request for a consideration?
Just recently, I asked both AHPRA and an institution in Melbourne called MCIE, they both said that hospital experience is not necessary to be a registered nurse here in Australia.
@ezra scarlet but I don't have any experience. When did you lodge your application? 5-6 months is a short period compared to the 9 months waiting period I have read here. And also can a PM or email you for questions regarding application process? How long is the bridging program AHPRA required you to take?
@meggieli: when you say "hospital experience", is that only in the hospital setting or any other field? I'm sorry if I'm reading into the words here:yes: because the only experience I have is the clinicals I had during nursing school. No experience yet as an RN

I lodge last october 2014 in Sydney, received the letter last april 2015. The usual 3 months bridging program.
We usually have different RO and our RO contact is given by AHPRA once they receive our application. It took me a month to know who my RO is. Just be patient. :)
I know my RO already coz my application is for almost 4 months already and just waiting for it to be progressed to the board for review. I just want to know if we have the same RO. Thanks
Atlast, I recieved my eligibility letter yesterday.Praise God.
December 2014 - Lodged my application in Ahpra
March 2015- completed all the documents required by my R.O
APRIL 15, 2015 - Scheduled for The board assessment
May 13, 2015- recieved my eligibility letter
