Does anyone know anything about these colleges? I am looking around for various nursing programs. I would like to attend Ivy Tech but it seems really competitive!! I already have a B.S. in child development so I am also considering second-degree options. I am at a loss and really need some help
Thanks!!

Some many different choices to choose from. A friend of mine is going to Medtech right now for the LPN program. She really like the school she goes M-Th 8-2pm. She told me they where getting ready to start a RN program but she didn't say much about it.? sorry, I know they have a info session you have to go to and an entrance test. Indiana Wesley located in Greenwood is starting a nursing program too. You might want to call them. I also heard that IUPUI has a program for those that already have a BS in something and wants to change the major to RN, you might want to call them, might be a quicker way to get there. Just a little info that I had.. Not sure it will help but good luck..

I just went to MedTech College last night to listen to their seminar. It's about 18,000.00. I feel it's really expensive, but what can you do if nothing else is working out.
That is a lot of money but I totally agree with you!! I have to keep options open bc I don't know what I am going to do. Thanks for the info! Where are you considering?

If you already have a degree, try Ball State. I graduated from their 2nd degree program last May
Great idea!! Is it hard to get into their program? How many people do they take?
No, it's not that hard to get into, but it is a tough program. The 2nd degree program is easier than the regular oneto get into. My class had about 25, but it varies each year based on new students. They are very serious about application deadlines, so if you want to start in the fall, you have to apply by the end of this month. their big weeding out process is the prereqs. Feel free to pm me if you have other questions. It really is a good program.
Great information! I will look into them right now. I have heard wonderful things about Ball State's program. Thank you!!

ITT Tech in Indianapolis has a new RN program, it's new enough to not have pass rates postes yet, but it seems like a solid program. It may be worth checking inot while you are researching.
Good Luck!
I did hear that ITT Tech has a RN program. I have heard a lot of mixed reviews about the school in general but it is worth investigating. Thanks for the tip!!

OLD POST I guess but....
I am a graduate of Medtech's LPN program. I (and every other person in our class) have passed the boards. Good school, very expensive but I have a license and can now begin paying it back.
Any questions please let me know :)
