MedStar Washington Job

U.S.A. Washington DC

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone, I am very interested in working at MedStar Washington on the stroke unit with the new grad program. Does anyone have any information whatsoever about this unit? For example, is it a difficult unit to work in? How is the staff and teamwork? What are the true nurse to patient ratios? Is it a good environment? Also, what happens if you do not get a DC license before start date? Thank you very much for your input.

Whats the starting salary for new grads?

Nancyp I was told $28

Hi, I'm actually a nurse from California and I have an interview with L&D at Providence Hospital in DC. I was wondering if someone could give me a salary range for the RN's there?

Sorry I know this isn't part of this topic but I would greatly appreciate it as I dont know how to use this site quite yet. Thanks a bunch!

Hi everyone, anyone hear good things about Medstar in general verses Hopkins? I heard Hopkins pays less but gives more benefits, and Medstar pays more but gives less benefits. Input? Can decide which one to go for! I do have a child that will be college aged in about 4 years, and I heard Hopkins is great for tuition help, but I need a big salary now.

Is the only way to apply to the WHC as a new nurse through their RN residency program? Is there another way? Can you apply to individual jobs?

Hey! Did you get your answer. They are definitely looking for nurses with experience and you don't have to go through the residency program if you have that. Just check their website.
