Medstar Washington Hospital Center Nurse Residency 2021

Published

Starting a thread for those who applied for the Nurse Residency/Bridge program at Medstar Washington Hospital Center for 2021.

I'll also be starting in July on the cardiac surgery unit. Has everyone gotten their ATTs/Licenses? I still haven't gotten my ATT yet

Hi! I’m applying to the July 2021 residency, I applied to the CVICU. What cohort & unit are you applying to?

Did you end up getting hired? If so can you PM me?

Hi there,

WHC pays new grads 30.69/hr and they will be avoiding weekends or nights so u don't get those extra differentials to make up for the low pay. It's totally discouraging journey if you're not in you might want to rethink your choice. They also don't schedule u on holidays so u don't get extra pay. I'm so disappointed with my experience there. They say money is not everything but they're the first once to run after referral bonus when u bring somebody in. They had $700 bonus for Thanksgiving and it was for all associates but guess what we didn't get it. They save every dime and nickel when the pay is already the lowest in DMV area. Think twice is my advice!
