MedStar Georgetown Residency Feb 2014 Hopefuls!

Published

Starting a thread for those of us that applied for RN jobs at Georgetown Hospital to begin in Feb 2014. They should start calling us soon... I heard they will offer 35-50 people jobs and take about twice as many for interviews.

anyone hear anything?!?!?!?!

well, rejection emails went out today... no idea how my friend and I were both rejected. both really strong candidates. good luck everyone else

Sorry to hear that BlueJays2013. I received an invitation to interview but I am not confident because I really want ICU, but I did my preceptorship on a step-down/IMC unit. I'm hoping that is enough.

I received a rejection letter today as well. Best of luck to everyone else!!

I also received a rejection email and so did a friend both very strong candidates....I wonder what they are looking for...mmh. Moving on...

congrats Itrust! and yeah... I wonder what they are looking for as well. I had personally met two of the three nurse recruiters already and the one I didn't meet called me to tell me about the pediatric transplant unit. I'm wondering if it's because I am so dead set on peds... and there's not much in the way of peds for new grads there.

oh well... crossing my fingers for children's in DC.

Best of luck in job hunting for those that received less then wanted news today and congrats to itrust on her interview request.

I received an email today asking for the completed application package to be delivered to G-town to be reviewed before they made the decision upon whom to interview. I thought that the package was the next step, but maybe not?

This.

I apologize about the misrepresentation. I was not asked to come in for an interview, but was asked to complete a package and mail it directly to G-town. I confused another email for the Medstar email.

Yup, got a rejection as well but good luck to everyone else. Sad but have to move on.

I sent in my application packet and spoke to the recruiter last Monday. She said we'd hear about interviews in the next couple weeks. She seemed confident in my chances to be placed in the NICU, but I did my preceptorship there and have volunteer experience. Still, though, the ICU is not totally ruled out! Best of luck in the job hunt, everyone...it's rough out there!

I spoke to one of recruiters yesterday and she said they should finish reviewing packets today or tomorrow and hopeful start making phone calls the end of this week. Good luck!

For those of you who interviewed for the Feb 2014 cohort, how long after you interviewed did you receive a decision? Thanks!
