I'm with you on this one. I have the worst time trying to pronounce numerous names of medications. I don't believe it has anything to do with you being a bad nurse in the future. If it's new information and new words it will most likely be hard to pronounce, especially meds. :)
Thanks
Good to know i am not the only one who feels the same way
It comes with experience!!! I worked in the medical field before venturing into nursing so it came natural to me but don't worry the more you're exposed to it you WILL get used to it! It seems overwhelming now and you will most likely get corrected by instructors or peers sometimes but you just need to be able to laugh at yourself and work at it! I agree at trying to find a book that has a CD so you can hear the words!! Best of luck!

I have a question that i always wondering about.
Does anyone have trouble reading, saying and spelling medical terms and medication names??
I just started reading a medical terminology book and LOTS of the words are hard to say or will say it how it is writting but i always feel i am saying it wrong. Will it get easy once i get more experiedance(sp)? I am a pretty good speller and reader for the most part but this just has me thinking that if I'm not good at this then i may end up being a bad nurse. I always wanted to be a nurse and this always sceared me.
Thank you!
