Medical Surgical RN and HR

Nurses General Nursing

Published

I'm an RN with about 1 yr and 2 months of Medical Surgical experience. My question is at my current hospital they have a posting for a nurse recruiter. I feel like this is right up my alley. The requirements are BSN, which I have and experience preferred, which I don't have. Should I apply or is it out of the question. The job has been posted for almost a month and I keep looking at it. THANK YOU all!

You can always apply, the worst thing that can happen is you dont get the job. Are there any classes or the such on nurse recruiting? I havent seen any...but it might be good to look it up and google it.

Go for it!

You do have some experience.

If it's been posted a month, then maybe they aren't getting many takers, and might be willing to take someone with a bit less experience than they'd wanted at first.

All they can do is say no; plus, if you don't try for it, you'll always wish you had, and wonder what might have happened!

Agree with the above. The worst they'll say is "no you're too inexperienced" which I'm sure is something you can handle. But at best you might get the job.

Good luck.
