Medical Shows on TV

Published

My mom is a nurse and she watchs the tv show the doctor's, she says it is "great" I was wondering if any one has additional input about the show. I have watched a few and I like it is okay. I was wondering if we should recommend it to are patients to watch? :nurse:

I guess it's okay, no biggie...but, seriously, if I'm a patient in a hospital, the last thing I want to see on tv is the same thing that I could see no further than five feet away from me. ;)

My husband is a Physician Assistant & works in a very busy ER. Our family hates it when these shows come on cause we're screaming "no, dufus, you need to order xyz, not zyz...you just killed that guy!!!!"...:uhoh21:

House is really well researched. In the beginning ER was filled with errors, then they changed medical consultants & the program became more believable.

I'm addicted to Criminal Minds, Bones & Burn Notice at the moment. Offender profiling & forensics both intrigue me.

I also love Showtime's Dexter. Not only is Micheal C. Hall one little hottie, you gotta love a serial killer with a conscience....:heartbeat

I love the doctors!! I think they bring information to the table that most viewers are too embarrassed to ask their own doctors...and stuff I just wouldn't even *think* to ask.

I wish Dr Sears lived around here. I'd love to have him be my family's pediatrician :)

Oh, and Travis isn't so bad himself LOL

i enjoy listening to what the doctor's have to say. since i don't work in a hospital setting i really don't get the doctor's perspective, and i like how they bring so many different specialties to one table. i love it!

I :redbeathe CRIMINAL MINDS!!! Thank God for DVR--I record it every week to watch when I get home because I work FT 3-11pm. Bones is great, too.

I'm still laughin my Behind over "OCTOKOOK"! OMG!!!!! hahahahahhhahhahah awesome!

the times I have viewed THE DOCTORS I am amazed at how "frank" they are! I usually scan INFO and see the topics to be discussed and see if they are interesting. I don't really like the gal on there. can't figure it out, don't know why.

They are getting better with their info now. I love House. I just want to bring him home and fix him! LOL

I might watch The Doctors. I watch House sometimes and also Scrubs. Haven't watched ER for years as it really irritated me.

Me, either. Not sure why exactly, but I think I have it narrowed down to the way she sits there without participating in the conversations like she's either spacey or above it all. Oh, and her name is Lisa Masterson.
