Yes. Before you are hired you will get a drug test, NCIC backround check, and fingerprinted.
i can pass the drug test. but my question is can they see that i have prescription to marjiuana
im in cali by the way
Ah, Cali....it's a legalized for treatments perscribed by a doctor. But I'm not quite sure how healthcare facilites will look at it or even know??? If you don't get your answer here I would ask your doctor or a lawyer. Many people who work in healthcare take all sorts of perscription meds, but it does depend on what you take & what your exact profession is. IE: If you were a CRNA you would have to pretty much squeaky clean 24/7.
I am going to be CNA soon in like 2 months. I dont know if thats same thing as CRNA. But can they see it ? IF they cant see that i ahve prescription then I have nothing to worry about.

Federally, the possession and use of pot is ILLEGAL. Just because you have a prescription card does not allow you to have ANY amount of the drug in your system prior to and during employment in the health care industry. If yo do not believe me, look up the state and federal statutes.

Medical marijuana is legal by decree of the president. Employers will have to treat those with prescription marijuan the same as those with other prescriptions...
ETA: They CAN'T see the prescription.... HiPAA
BUT
If you ever get selected for a drug test, random or not, you will have to list it and provide it so they may still find out...
umm..so can they see that i have a prescription to marjiuana ....
oh nvm i saw it

Not what the OP asked but:
Well, in some states, whether you have a script or not, you still get barred from employment in health care if you use "mood modifying, or impairing" substance, legal or not. This means even perfectly legal meds like antidepressants can get you barred, or prescribed vicodin. That does not mean that none of those HCWers in those states use antidepressants, but facilities tend to play "Don't ask - don't tell", and as they do not test for them, it gets ignored.
It depends on the the facility in many cases, as to what they tolerate in workers.
There are several facilities that bar smokers from all employment and they do test in some cases.
It doesn't matter whether law enforcement are going easy on "enforcement" or it "legal" , you still may find employment hard to come by. Especially in a RTW state.
PS. CRNA - certified registered nurse anesthetist. Because they handle large amounts of highly abuseable meds, and they handle medically unstable issues, they pretty much have to have a pristine record.
im confused lol can they find out or not? im in ca
