I am new to this site, and want to say HI to everyone.

I am still waiting to hear from the Medical College of Georgia. I want more than anything to go to school there. I am trying to get into their BSN program. Is there any students or anyone that has been accepted for the Summer 2008 semester here?

Is the school really hard to get into?

I want more than anything to become a :nurse:! I am feeling really down since I have not heard anything from any of the school I applied to. I am waiting on 3 and soon to be four schools.

I am taking the NET Exam tommorrow and I am really NERVOUS!!!

If anyone can give me any advice or anything PLEASE let me know.

I just got an acceptance letter from them last week for the BSN program in Athens. You should probably be hearing from them soon! Good luck!

Congratulations on getting into MCG BSN program. I am trying to get into Athens as well. So far I know that I have a student ID, but I have not heard anything else yet. Hopefully that is good news. I will let you know when I hear something from them.

Hey, I have just submitted my app to MCG for Summer 2009 and am really nervous. For those of you that were accepted, do you have any idea what the avg GPA of your fellow classmates is?Currently, I have a 3.46 and have a fair amount of volunteer experience. also, what does it mean when you are given a student ID number when you haven't been accepted?

I was accepted for the Summer 2008 class. I had a 3.69 GPA. I am unsure of my other classmates, but I think that everyone was around the 3.5 mark. There is no way of telling on what the admissions office has or wants at the time. It all depends on your overall grades, grades in specific classes, volunteer experience, your essay, and your references. I wish you the best.

Hi, My daughter has an application in at MCG for summer 09. I was wondering if you have heard anything from them yet. She was issued a student id number as well.

I also applied to the Summer 2009 program in Athens. I still haven't heard anything from them either. I was given a student id# as well. I was also sent a letter asking for my immunization records and asking me to sign a privacy info form. Im not sure why they would need any of that before im told if im accepted or not. Did anyone else get a letter from health services? Hopefully they will tell us something soon! Good luck everyone!

Hey.... maybe there was a mix up? medical records are usually requested after an initial acceptance? Do you know of anyone who has received an acceptance letter? or anything about the usual GPA of those accepted?

I was thinking it was probably a mix up as well. I couldn't figure out why they would need my medical info. But no I also haven't heard from anyone getting an acceptance letter or anything really. I called the school a while ago and they said it could be anytime now but probably March till we will hear something. If you hear anything though would you let me know? I don't know of anyone else who applied. Did you apply by the early application deadline?

I did apply by the priority deadline. There was a mix up with my transcripts so im not sure if i was even considered. I have talked to someone who also applied for early admission. She has not heard anything either. However, she has 2 friends who applied: 1 was accepted and the other was rejected. I think you should call the admissions office and get to the bottom of the immunization form request! I would going crazy if I were you! I will definitely let you know what I find out....I am really worried about my GPA being adequate!!!!!

I wish they would just let everybody know! I also applied for the early deadline. I did call about the health records and they said they didn't know why I got them already and to just wait for a letter. They did not tell me anything else. They really just didn't help much at all. So now im just back to waiting. Im also worried about my GPA cause it definately isnt the most competitive but its mostly from my history classes (im awful at history) so I hope that wont hurt me too much. Ill let you know if I hear anything as well!

Personally, I would call again and ask for Ben. He is great and is the only person I could get to straighten my records out. I bet he would tell you a little more. I am sure your GPA is fine if the only class you are worried about is History. I doubt that class will make the difference! Good luck to you! Hopefully, we will both receive GREAT NEWS:)
