Medical City October 2020 Nurse Residency

Published

Hello everyone!

I just want to start a thread for those who have applied to the nurse residency program at Medical City. I applied to several locations and I am interested in several specialties. What about you? Please post if you hear anything ?

Keep reaching out! Even if it’s to more than one recruiter.

I was hired at medical city children's over a week ago if that helps any ? good luck to everyone!

Do you mind telling me which unit you were hired for? If not I understand! Congrats on your job! ?

I would call the recruiters directly if you haven’t heard anything yet. I was told offer letters will go out sometime this week, but there are still positions available. Best of luck!

I'm thinking those that haven't been interviewed and offered positions didn't get chosen. I wish they wouldn't string us along not knowing anything. Congrats to those that received offers!

Does anyone know when offer letters are going out? I applied last minute when they posted on facebook that they were still looking to fill the October residency. I received a phone call Thursday and interviewed Saturday. I received an offer yesterday for Arlington in their oncology unit. She said she would send me an offer letter but I haven’t received it yet.

I was told this week or next. I really hope it’s by Friday though

@ava_logusta I hope so too! She told me I wouldn’t go through the silent period since I was told Tuesday that I was offered the position so I had to tell her yes or no that same day.

The same for me. I accepted the offer without even knowing the pay rate. LOL. Do you guys know?

Hello,

Nice to meet you all. I am new here. I just accepted the offer today. They sent an email with a link to their portal that opens to the offer letter. Congratulations to fellow medical city nurses and good luck to all! Keep applying and don't give up!

@LiveByGrace same! I didn’t even ask, but my friend who had interviewed for Dallas said 26 was starting rate with 3 dollars extra for night and weekend. I’m hoping it’s the same for us. Someone else that I know works at medical city north hills and she started at 26.52 so hopefully we’re not that far off either.

did anyone else get hired for Arlington in the oncology unit?

@BordonggoRN do you know who you’re recruiter was? Mine was Ms. Bowie so she said I would get the offer letter that Tuesday after our conversation but she hasn’t sent anything. I know she’s been texting me as well so I wasn’t sure whether to text her or call her tomorrow to find out when I would get the letter.

@futureRN_2020 Hello, mine was Ms. Bradley. She was really nice and she responded to me on Friday to wait for the follow-up emails. Today was the day I received the offer letter. You can probably ask your recruiter for a follow up. Make sure to check your spam too just in case. They're probably sending out the letters and additional requirements this week and next week because we start in less than a month. ?

@BordonggoRN thank you! I will definitely follow up with her tomorrow! But yea I've been checking my spam emails as well just to make sure, hopefully we get our stuff soon since we start in less than 2 weeks. Super excited and anxious!
