Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hey I saw there wasn't a thread for this hospital yet, so I decided to create one! The only thing I've heard is I have an interview at their Bash Oct 9th With Mckinney L&D and NICU!

I‘ll be interviewing for the NICU at the upcoming intern bash for May 2020 graduates! Do you have any advice?

Correction the July 2020 cohort/residency

I didn’t interview at the bash, so I’m not sure what they will ask in the short 15 minutes or what location you’re interviewing for. But I think the biggest thing is just show your passion and look up behavioral interview questions on Google. Make sure to have an idea on what you’ll say, but don’t be too reheorificed. I also had portfolios I gave them that contained my cover letter, resume, and rec letters. If you’ve done clinicals in the NICU, connect your behavior based questions to those experiences. They really liked how I did that

Awesome, thank you!! Yea it sounds like more of a meet and greet to me, but I will definitely make the best of it. The interview will be for Medical City Children's where I actually completed clinicals and was able spend time in their NICU.

Hey guys! How were you able to set up an interview for the bash? I RSVPed but I'm not sure how to actually set up an interview. Thanks!

I believe it was on a first come first serve basis... I got an email shortly after I RSVP’d. However, you might be able to get an interview at the bash based on availability.

When did yall apply and when did you receive something about the bash? I applied on January 19th and I'm wondering how I can go to the bash...

I applied as soon as it opened. I never received an e-mail or anything about the bash but there's a Facebook group with more information. The recruiters are active in the group and posted the RSVP there. I think the group is called Medical City - Nurse Internship/Graduate Nurses. They should be able to help you there!

Hi all, I am planning to apply for the October cohort but with more interest in pedi med/surg, can you please advise if the time you all applied if there were any pedi slots, was there a McKinney location slot and what options does the hospital have? just trying to get my hopes up early with the pandemic going on, stay blessed and safe.
