My wife received a letter from Medical Center of Lewisville for a new "Nurse training Program" that will start up in May. It doesnt give to many details but it does say its a 12 week unpaid program at no cost the the nurses selected. It appears that since the market is flooded with new nurses and jobs are harder to get, hospitals are trying to offer "unpaid" internships. Your thoughts ....

Hi hubby,
I have some more info about this particular program. Hope this helps:
1) This program is a "residency" type program in that nurse residents will learn on the job.
2) It is a way for nurses to try out the hospital and for the hospital to try out the nurses.
3) It gives new nurses (at the very least) some solid experience they can put on their resume and (at most) a career with Lewisville Medical Center.
4) They will likely hire lots of nurses through this program.
Can't give more info than that due to confidentiality. I highly encourage your significant other to apply. It's a great place to work. :)
