Congratulations! I will most likely be attending Medgar Evers as well, I just got my acceptance today!
My biggest tips are to buy plenty of highlighters, a planner with room for multiple things daily, post-it notes and a good stethoscope.
I started out college as a nursing major and completed 1 clinical semester in an RN program, so I have a pretty good grip on what you'll need and what it's like, though from my understanding, LPN school is a lot less theory than RN school and more practice.
PM me! Maybe we'll be classmates!
@Singdancerunlife:The main difference between LPN and RN is that you must learn everything in one year rather than two.
This is not my understanding at all. I know RN is 2 years, but I was in an RN program and have spoken with many nurses who say LPN is less theory than RN. Also, you don't learn a lot of the stuff in LPN school as you do in RN school which is exactly why RN school is a year longer :)
Nekozuki, ME's program is 2 years. I know 2 people that completed the program and they said it's 2 years. Congratulations, OP. Study hard!!
The LPN program is 1 year, the RN program is 2. ME has both :)
Hello! Congratulations on getting accepted. Would you be at Liberty to say how much tuition is for the lpn course?
Tuition is about 4k for a year at Medgar Evers (in state tuition, not sure about out of state). I feel I can safely say that since you can easily find the information on the college's website.
