I work in Med/Surg in one hospital, and Neurology at another. Med/Surg seems to have more older incontinent patients, more pts with a fall risk, and more total care patients. I'm sure it varies from place to place. I work equally hard at both jobs and come home extremely tired but glad to know I did the best for the care of all my patients.

Specializes in Med-Surg, Trauma, Ortho, Neuro, Cardiac.
Specializes in Community Health Nurse.

Med-Surg is a tough unit to work on no matter what title a person holds.
