Okay, let me see if I have this correct~
1. 2 meds in syringe, they are compatible so I inject vial 1 with 2 mL of air, then go to vial 2 inject 1 mL of air and draw 1 mL of med, go back to vial 1 without contaminated needle and draw 2mL for a total of 3 mL~ correct
2. Mixing insulin NPH and R (you don't want to contaminate the R- clear with NPH- cloudy- I think) so inject NPH with 20 u air, then go to R and inject 20 u air and draw 20 u of R, then back to NPH and inject the 20 u of R and draw 40 u total- is that correct?
Thanks all~

Mixing insulins:
Inject air into cloudy (NPH), then into clear (regular)
Draw up insulin from clear (regular), then from cloudy(NPH)
but don't forget..you CANNOT mix anything with Lantus!
yup, you are correct w/the insulin question.
not sure about question 1, I've not been able to do multi injectins in one syringe. I know we were told, but I have totally forgotten (too much psych floating around my head right now, have a big mid term tomorrow) My book isn't handy..sorry can't help w/that question.

You got it right with both questions.
Thanks~ I made a high B on the test, so was happy and today I did my very first ID with the end result of a great Bleb!!
On my way~~ each day at a time!!
:w00t: good job!
Heehee..my first bleb was HUGE. Somehow, my bleb, "grabbed" the other blebs the students before me made. It was enourmous. My lab teacher was cracking up at the size of it.
