MD's submitting false nursing school records

Published

i've heard of a story of a philippine doctor who didn't take nursing as a premed, finished medicine, then realized he's not making enough money with his local practice, decided to work abroad as a nurse. He passed CGFNS without a sweat but he had a friend, who owns a nursing school, to produce school diplomas and maybe school records proving to the US nursing board that he did finish a nursing course. Now he has a U.S. license and is working as a nurse and earning big bucks.

i'm in the health profession myself and i will feel cheated if a doctor takes my profession's exams without going through the usual schooling and internship. Much more getting positions rightfully mine leaving me a second choice for employers.

I know how nurses tend to respect thier doctors but, do you just accept it as hands down that some doctors land a B.S. RN's position without going thru internships and nurse school?

How similar is a course in nursing with a medical course? is a nursing course a subset of a medical course? is that ethically acceptable in the nursing world?

well how did you know that?is he /she honest enough to tell all the story if it is really true?well i think thats very difficult situation because if its really true hes very brave enough to put himself in a very bad situation....i can feel what you are now..but we have all the rights in this world what we want to be as long as you did it in the right way ,right procedure ....

and definitely fraud is not the right procedure...do you agree with me?

can anyone tell me the proper procedure to put this guy in his proper place?

he did brag about what he did. shameless dude.

moderator note:

no names please.

it is not for me to name names. it is up to the nurses who value their profession to report such shortcomings from vultures of their profession. as a matter of fact, it is these honest, ethical nurses that get to notice them first and get affected by their inadequacies.

isn't it quiet obvious at work that these vultures don't even know how to handle ordinary gadgets that a true blue nurse could manipulate even in the dark because they went through 2 to 6 years of training and hard work before they landed an RN license in the states?

the funny thing is...they even help them at work considering the earn the same salaries. WAKE UP! Isn't it obvious they are taking advantage of your kind and caring nature? I hope you don't put a patient's life into danger by helping these untrained wannabes.

i see some 450+ readers of these thread without giving comments. are they the wannabes checking if their heads are going to be chopped off?

or are they the true blue ethical nurse who are still afraid to voice their thoughts and disappointments?

it's really easy to trace these abusers. they have a diploma but they are not known by the rest of their supposed "batchmates". why? because they never attended a class. all they did is to have a school authority that they can influence to sign it for them.

nurses, you know who your batchmates don't you? because you are with them in good time and hard times.

I think that people are not responding to you because of what you wrote. Your first line starts:

i've heard of a story

And a story is all it is.

hahaha

this is not the place to give names.

don't you worry. the proper authorities will be informed.

so you watch out

A typical scenario....

characters:

rich dr. A

dr/professor wife

dr/nursing wannabe husband

dr/professor B

rich dr. A opens a nursing school and employs dr/professor wife and dr/professor B. Let's say dr/P wife teaches med 101 and dr/P B teaches med 202.

dr/P wife and dr/P B realize that teaching and having a clinic is not enough to support a highstandard life style so they decided to enroll as nursing students in that same school.

a typical dialogue will be:

dr/professor wife: hey dr/P B, I am busy with my clinic and your busy with ur clinic, why don't you give me a grade in med 102 and i'll give you a grade in med 101. you don't have to come in my class.

dr/professor B: okay, what grade do you want?

then dr/professor B went to the classroom to meet the ordinary nursing students and said: you do this and that, you make this and that project, etc, etc.

both dr/p wife and dr/p B at the end of the day earned : teaching fee + clinic income

poor nursing students paid teaching fee + no income because they have to study full time.

then dr/nursing wannabe husband entered the picture. he is a good friend of rich dr. A.

dr/nursing wannabe husband: hey good friend rich dr. A, i want to work in america can you make me a diploma and a transcript?

rich dr. A: sure anytime my friend. you don't have to come in, just send me some imported goods whenever you can.

So dr/nursing wannabe husband became a license US RN nurse with a green card and a 8,000usd/mo salary. his wife, dr/prof wife also became a US RN nurse with green card as well as dr/prof B in no time. while the ordinary nurses did graduate after 4 yrs, did internship 2-6 yrs. and then in God's grace, did get the same rewards.

what's wrong in this picture?

Naw, it has to be made up. Know how I know? This line:

"Now he has a U.S. license and is working as a nurse and earning big bucks."

:)

love that sense of humor.

of course I need to keep the state a secret.

you gotta sharpen ur negotiation skills...some do earn big bucks as a nurse.

if you only finish 5 out of the 7 yrs intarmed course you become a medical clerk (correct me if I'm wrong)

now, if you finish medicine you automatically get a b.s. in nursing, b.s. in physical therapy, b.s. in pharmacy, b.s. in biology, b.s. in med tech, etc. etc. it just depend on how greedy you can get.

so for 10 years of study, you become an expert of 20 years worth of study?

i mean, do you really believe your mind could soak up and remember all those information in detail?

but you'd rather not take the USMLE exam (wow so humble of you).

you'd rather take the NCLEX

seriously now, do you really need 20 yrs of knowlege to change a colostomy bag?

i didn't know it's that complicated

it only took me a few seconds to learn the job

and you have to do fraud to get the opportunity to do it?

love that sense of humor.

If you have all of this information, why don't you just report it yourself instead of trying to get other nurses to do it? Are you a nurse? Did this happen in the US? Are you from the US?
