MDC Nursing Spring 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi,

I just took the Hesi entrance exam last week and I am about to apply to Miami Dade College for the Spring 2017 generic full time program. The deadline is September 1 so I am sure there are more than a few people that have applied or are getting ready to apply. I have not seen a forum as yet for spring 2017. I would like to hear from people who are applying for spring 2017.

Hello everyone! I was waiting for someone to create this forum. I'm applying for the Generic FT:bookworm:

Hello,

would you be able to check the overall score for that day? I saw this in another forum You sign in elsevier web page with your password an username the same that you used for your test and you will see your test score, next to your score in the left side is a + sign click it you will see all 7 divisions if you opened individually you will see your score for the subject and on the left side top, you will see class score add all 7 divided by 7 and there you have the overall score that day for mdc students

Hi everyone!

I'll be taking the HESI on the 31st and I'm going today to apply and see what I may need to turnin ahead of time. Pretty nervous, but hopeful I get in for Spring 2017. I'm applying to both generic FT and accelerated. Good luck!

Hey Everyone! :)

Im about to take the exam on the 29th for the first time. So I'm kinda nervous here, haha. But for those who have taken the exam how did you guys feel about the exam? Was it tough?

Hi MDC,

I didn't find the HESI too hard. Preparation is key. I prepared for about a month using the HESI exam review book and I also used the HESI A2 pocket prep app which I paid $12 for. I like the app and would recommend it.

I would also suggest a brief review of your anatomy notes because the HESI book doesn't cover everything. However the anatomy on the exam was very basic.

Good luck!!

Would you guys mind sharing your HESI scores and science GPA. The HESI score accounts for 60% of the selection criteria and the GPA accounts for 40%.

My HESI score is 97% and my science GPA is 3.53.

Where is everybody? There haven't been many responses on this forum compared to previous years. I hope this means that there are less applicants for spring 2017. I would like us all to share our experiences on this journey to becoming nurses. This would be helpful for us all.

Right? I just came to notice that this forum isn't as active as the other previous semesters. I really do hope we all get into the program.

My HESI score is 79% and I'm taking it again the 24th. I need a high score because my GPA is 2.8 man :( and yesssss I heard about the checking on the website the average scores for that day but I haven't tried it! I feel like I would become obsessed. I'm studying hard everyday from the HESI book and anatomy books since the book doesn't really go over anatomy as much as we would like. My test didn't have any diagrams or anything like that so that makes it difficult to really know what kind of questions will be on it. Good luck to everyone and we for sure need more people posting on this

I'm planning on registering for Spring. I'm about to take the test myself, on Friday, but did you guys find the chemistry portion to be hard?

Hi Qmb, welcome to the forum! Have you done any chemistry at all recently?

Thanks! Not as of lately. Last time I took a chemistry class was back in 2011
